Cedric Shelby, Ph.D.
Director of Academic Success
Dr. Shelby holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. He brings doctoral-level training grounded in research, assessment, and evidence-based practices that inform his holistic, data-driven approach to student success. Prior to joining the University of Dallas, Dr. Shelby held leadership and student support roles across higher education, where he partnered with faculty and staff to design and implement academic support initiatives, strengthen advising structures, and improve student retention and completion outcomes. His combined academic preparation and professional experience reflect a deep commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and advancing institutional excellence.

Darcy E. Stubbs
Academic Success Specialist
Professor Stubbs is a current Politics PhD student here at UD, and has been studying and working as an adjunct at the University since 2022. She is a first-generation student who began her studies in Classics and Politics only after serving an enlistment in the U.S. Navy, where she not only met her husband and travelled the world, but also created a volunteer department for the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan and served as the Educational Petty Officer.
